About the Event

Heath Gunter is the new CEO of Cheltenham Business Improvement District (BID)  a not-for-profit organisation working to make Cheltenham an even better place for those that work, study, live and spend leisure time in the town. He is also a passionate believer in helping people improve their mental health - and a huge rugby fan.

Heath will be talking about the aims and priorities of the BID, and what it can (and can’t) do for businesses in the area – including all the artists working, exhibiting, and selling their work in Cheltenham.

He is keen to hear from artists about how our work makes Cheltenham a better place for everyone, the different ways we can make this a vibrant, positive town, and in particular, how art and artists can support businesses, including increasing well being at work, as well as what artists and galleries need to flourish.

He will be sharing his experiences of what businesses are looking for and the best ways we can reach out to them and ‘talk their language’ about the place of art and artists within the workplace. Whilst the focus is on Cheltenham, Heath’s insights will have relevance to approaching businesses anywhere

It should be a really useful conversation and an enjoyable evening. It’s a face-to-face monthly meeting for the first time in two years! We’re in the beautiful, spacious setting of the Parabola Arts Centre Galleries, on the corner of Parabola Road and Bayshill Road. Many thanks to the Cheltenham Ladies College Commercial team for their support.

Covid numbers are still at record levels so PLEASE do not attend if you have any cold-like symptoms – I’m happy to refund fees for anyone needing to pull out because of illness or suspected illness. Refreshments will be available but do bring your own coffee mug if possible. There is some parking in  the Parabola Arts Centre Carpark and plenty of street parking nearby. Entrance is via the main steps facing Bayshill Road. Ring me on 07747 032912 for entry via the accessible door.
