If you had a business plan and a number of goals set for the past year, then, of course, you will want to review them, if you haven't already done so. However taking time to reflect is a much wider process - often helped by a nice glass of wine or a country walk- and I think this is just as important as measuring yourself against your set goals.  When did you feel most creative? What were your most important lessons? What do you want to do more of - and what do you need to stop doing? and many more questions like these can help you get a 'feel' for the past year and help you 'see' your way forward.

I also think it's vital to get a good understanding of your numbers- alongside your hunches, so this is covered too - as well as a very simple income and expenses template if you haven't yet learnt to love spreadsheets. 

Look at the resources and then DO the activities that you would find most useful.
