Paltry or Plenty? The Art of Pricing

Jackie Garner, an experienced full-time artist who has presented several valuable sessions for Living from Art, shares her approach to the sometimes difficult topic of pricing your art work.

She will be talking about why customers buy artwork and how this affects their view on what they are prepared to spend as well as the importance of being clear and confident to talk about why a piece costs whatever you have decided to charge, without apology.

She will also be looking at all the factors to consider when deciding what you should sell your work for and different approaches to pricing pieces, depending on the size, medium, methods etc. She will also look at what NOT to do when talking to potential customers about money.
