About the Event
Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) are ways to cultivate flexible, curious, open-minded, and thoughtful learning, in many different settings. It was developed by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in NewYork, based on the concept of Aesthetic Development.Â
It can encourage people to get more pleasure and meaning from art and feel motivated to gain knowledge about the complicated objects made by artists. The approach is now also used in science museums and other educational and work settings such as with medical students and business teams. Â
More information here: Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS): Critical Thinking and Inclusive Discussion https://vtshome.org/Â
Debbie has been inspired by her initial introduction to VTS through MOMA and  has embarked on a further training course. She is offering this free session to explore her newfound love of facilitating a VTS image discussion. This will be an enjoyable interactive session in which we will be invited to practice active looking, listening, and imagining. Â
We are aiming for a small group including both artists and others who enjoy looking at art. so booking your free ticket is essential. If the session is already fully booked, do let Anna know of your interest in a future session. Â anna.poulton@outlook.com or 07747 032912 Â Â
